The Hammer is a hitscan projectile weapon variant used by the Brute class in Tribes: Ascend. It can be unlocked for 120 Gold or 14000XP.

Operation[]
The Hammer deals more damage than the standard Automatic Shotgun, but has a smaller clip size. It fires 8 hitscan bullets that deal 60 damage at close range (total 480 if all hit). Like all shotguns this weapon is ineffective beyond close range due to damage falloff.
